This really fit, funny, cute and smart guy asked me out last week.(he used to go to my college) On the date he confessed he had a a criminal record for fighting and cocaine possession. There is no help at the Embassy in the UK because of the dual citizen thing. In MI, you can go to michigan.gov and select the OTIS (Offender tracking information system) link from the home page. Here, you enter the persons name, birthdate, race, tatoos or any other markings and submit. A list of all the matches will load. Select the record you want to view. Many have pictures with info about their criminal history and probation restrictions. I would suppose this is available in other states as well.

My dad can find out anything on anyone with just a first and last name. He does it completely free. Him and my step mom say that all criminal records are public and anyone can see them. What website do I go to to find this stuff on someone? Kinda important..

I am very smart, responsible person so I just can’t understand why I am only attracted to "bad guys". She informed me that when they do the Criminal Background Check for the U-4 with the SEC/NASD they only check back for the last 10 years. Does anyone know the specifics on this.

I was charged with a felony but got a Noli Prosqui, which basically got it off my records and I was never convicted but the charge itself I know is the only thing that can bar you from getting the security clearance for the U-4…which is forgery. I am praying it doesn’t come up.

Know it’s unlikely but if it did would I be ineligible as I’ve been in jail twice. Am 21. What happened to people in this situation in the 60s and Vietnam?

i have a friend who is fighting a criminal case against him. if he looses, it would go on as a criminal record. he has been working at the same place for past 6 years and the employer is aware of on going situation. do they have right to fire him incase he looses the case and has a criminal history?

I currently have physical custody of my 1 year old daughter. I have no criminal record and her father has an extensive record including multiple drug charges. His parents pay a lawyer handle his cases, is there a possibility that he could get custody? Do they take any of this into consideration?

I want to know how far back the state of Florida can go to trace a criminal background. Is there a limit? My friend is moving here because she is struggling in Connecticut to find a job because her felony is following her. This was in 1989. She has no record since then. She is coming to Florida to try to start a new life. And I was curious to find out if anyone knew how far back they look when applying for a job. Thanks for anyone’s help! Really appreciate it!

I am adopted and am trying to find out some information on a member of my Birth Family, but I’m 2000 miles away. I know she had a lengthy criminal record, and I thought since she’s deceased, I might be able to access the local police files when I go there for the holidays. My sister is being scammed by a man living in Hopedale Ohio. I want to search for any criminal record of this person.

Theres this 40 year old african man in my neighborhood whose been causing suspicion lately. Today, my little 9 year brother and my 11 year old sister were playing basketball at our hoop, he then walks up to them and plays with them and I had to kick him off our hoop. My cibilings told me that he kept on stealing the ball from them and starts playing on our hoop and they told me that he kept on asking them if they wanted to smoke when they are only kids. This man also dances on the street and blocks cars from driving through by standing in front of the cars. Whenever I see him outside, he always ask me "where do I live" when his house is right down the street. I want to check on the internet if he has criminal records or if he’s just mentally retarted. I’ve already found his you full name!

My friend, who is a US Resident, recently got married and is trying to change her last name to her husband’s last name. On her 18TH birthday she got into some legal problems and earned herself a misdemeanor which she subsequently had expunged. I am aware that she has to inform immigration of this, even though she has had her records expunged, but what I am baffled about is what does her criminal history have to do with changing her last name to her husband’s last name? Can she actually be turned down because of her past activities? It is not as if she is petitioning for her citizenship or anything.
INS sent her a letter today informing her of her appointment date and requesting that she provide information, if any, on any arrests or criminal activity in the past. What bearing does her past activities have on her requesting a last name change and can her request be denied? She is concerned and thinking of just keeping her last name the way it is now that all of this is happening.
I can’t figure it out because I am not familiar with INS and their rules and regulations. I can figure out why a criminal record would be important to a request for Citizenship or Residency, but, no, I actually can’t figure out why her past criminal history would have a bearing on her accepting and subsequently using her husband’s last name. If last name could possibily be an issue then immigration should also have an issue with residents getting married. Getting married and accepting your husband’s last name are synomous with each other.

I actually don’t feel bad that I don’t know. If everyone knew eveything – Yahoo Answers would not be necessary and no one would be using it not even you.

I remember there was a website that anybody could go on a few years ago and you could look up Philadelphia or Pennsylvania criminal records. Does anybody know of this or another one that is free?

We bring people who want to be immigrants through Immigration because we want to know who they are, and where they have been. There is not one single Mexican Mafia member that would be allowed in this country if they applied, by the way. But they do not, and if they did apply, the Mexican Government may well not supply the correct information on the guy.

Ask your local newspaper/television station to research this question. Find out for yourselves. And if you look a their burgoning criminal records, stopping the illegal aliens is looking better, and better.

Often times I view criminal case dockets from the cuyahoga county clerk of courts website.(Ohio) I attempted to do so today, and was denied access. It said something about the site having a list of ip address that were blocked from the site and mine was included. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen? Do they have too many records of me accessing criminal records in a short period of time? If so, why does it matter the number of times I view them? Just wondering, Thanks!

I know that you can go to your local courthouse, and search criminal records of adults in your local county or even state.

My question is:

Is there a site online, that doesn’t charge to view criminal records? Or criminal backgrounds?

I know a million sites charge a fee, but I think this is because they believe people are too stupid to be able to find the actual site that is free and provided by the government.

I was just curious, how I go about checking my own criminal records? The job I am applying for is going to check it and I just wanted to make sure that nothing was on there. I really want this job and it has been years since my little brush with the law.

I know player like michael irvin, pacman jones, and tank johnson have criminal records but are there anymore?

A Colorado Bureau of Investigations criminal records check reveals an arrest for DWAI. Would an FBI criminal background check reveal this as well? Would a records check from another state? Thanks much.

In NC, which is where I live, you can easily search for criminal records for free from the Department of Corrections website. i live in australia, i was wondering do criminal records ever get wiped i know for very serious cases thay dont,but for say drug trafficking? i was charged for drug trafficking for one night,will that ever get removed or is there some way i could get it wiped?( victorian resident.australia)
