if you get fired from a (terrible) part time job, does it show up when prospective employers do a background check?
does it go into some file or something??
I got fired from borders for swiping my rewards card for customers. I really didn’t do it much… and I got "fired" on my last day, so I never told anyone.
If I omitted a few jobs will this be ok? Does the background check show all jobs I have held or do they just call up references I have listed?
I applied for a position with the government, but before they can offer me the job, they have to do a security clearance background check–including a conversation with my current employer. How do I help my employer feel good about this, so I don’t lose my position until the other job comes through? (assuming I’d even take the job when I get the offer).
I am trying to get a job at a hospital for a patient care tech and I have prior experience about 5-6 years ago in another state at another hospital. I think that HR is having a hard time getting verifying. I do have proof though since as tax forms. If they cannot find anything will i just be out of a job? Anyone that works for HR in a hospital. Thanks!!
And how long does it normally take? Any advice please, the uncertainty is killing me!!
I applied for a job and was told they wanted to interview me, and was asked to send in more documents. A few of those documents will take me some time to get (such as the criminal background check) and I asked if it was okay if I sent the documents I already have first, and then send the other documents as soon as I get them.
This was all right, but I’m wondering what to write when I send the first bunch of documents? Would it be all right to write "Enclosed documents: …." and then below "Pending documents: …."
Or what would you write?
I only worked at that place for about 3 weeks, and was also in the hospital. Do you think that a pontential employer could find out about it if they performed a background check?
If you have, why? What were the reasons? Did you lie on your resume? Were you convicted of a crime? Please tell me the details. I am having a background check conducted on me for a position right now and I am a little nervous as I have never gone through this before. Thank you all.
I applied for a job a while ago and a few days ago I got a reply saying I am being considered for position and they are asking me to mail certain documents, such as criminal background documents, references, copy of passport, etc.
However, it doesn’t say anything about a deadline for submitting these documents. It’s important for me to find out as getting some of these documents, such as the criminal background document, takes approximately two weeks to receive from the national authorities.
Does it sound like I’m not really interested in the job if I write and ask when the deadline is for submitting the requested documents?
Hello i have quite a good educational background, however, when i was younger i got into a lot of trouble and now have quite an extensive criminal record. As a result i have only had dead end jobs and i am sick of it. Is there any way i could get a decent career minded job?
Obviously a background check of some kind, but what does it involve: criminal, financial or mental health check? Detailed answers please, not just: "Your criminal past, gimme ten points."
I am in another country and have applied for a job that asked for a background check..Now will they look in my country of origin? I have a DUI and I don’t want to not get the job because of it. Do I have to claim it under there laws even though it was in another country?
…..from doing theirs! Honest, hard working people, waiting to start jobs in hospitals, care homes and schools etc., are being kept from these vital positions because the "police" are too idle to take the time to check out their possible criminal backgrounds on which these people now need clearence in order to start work!
What can employer check in my background? If I were terminated from a previous employer, will that matter recorded in my background?
I have bad credit and collections out against me but really want a job as a financial advisor, is it possible to get licensed?
Do they call all your previous employers, do a criminal background, credit check? Which one is the main one that is done in a job background check? Thanks!
I filled out several applications and i DO have a warrant out for my arrest, would a background check show that? Could they do anything about it like report it?
Its a little warrant for a 250 dollar fine for underage drinking but i cant pay the fine without a job.
