Is there any website that I can find out person’s education , employment history , family with children?

I only worked for my current job for 3 months, and I knew it wasn’t a good fit when I first started, but thought will give it a try, and still have the same feeling 3 months later. It was a mistake, and now I am trying to find a new job. I am wondering if I omit this employment history, will the future employer’s background check show that 3 months and give me trouble? What will be better to include it and try to explain to the new employer why I had to look after 3 months or simply omit it?

I had to have a FBI Background Check(fingerprinting) done for my employers Radioactive Materials License. I know the file contains ones past criminal charges but was wondering if it lists anything about past employment history (termination). I know that the FBI collects information from state agencies and since I was on unemployment insurance was wondering if this would emerge in my report. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Does employment history come out on a background check? If so, what else does it show?

Ok here we go:
About 2 years ago, I worked at Target and stupidly stole some calculators which came out to 0. It was a one time mistake and I was caught by the Loss Prevention Manager. Usually they would call the police on this but he has been watching me for 3 weeks before confronting me and I did not steal after that. He just made me sign a guilty admission and to pay back the amount within 6 months. I agreed to it and was terminated. I paid the fee but a year late.
Now the question is, since no police was involve and I was not taken to jail, would this show up in my job employment history? I have other jobs afterwards but none ask for a background check. Just recently I got a great paying job but they will do a background check. Please advise, thank you

I have got a job offer and now they are going to perform background check. Its not at all a problem, I have a very clean one. But the concern is when I submitted my resume, in the employment history I mentioned everything, every detail about where I worked, period of employment. But in the background check form, I missed one of the employers from history, because I left that company because of some issues with my supervisor. So far what I have mentioned in the background check form would come out well and positive. But will the employer/HR compare background check reports with the resume to see if I missed any employer in the background verification. Please help….

I just applied for a position. The people called me back about my resume stating they were very interested in me for potential employment.

However, I noticed a mistake on my resume. For my current employment, I started in July of 2004 and I must not have been thinking correctly or made a typo or something because on my resume it states 2003. I didn’t deliberately lie about it, but I was too afraid to correct the woman when she said "Wow! So you’ve been there since 2003!" I didn’t want them to think I made frequent mistakes on my typing or anything.

I’m paranoid because I really want this position, but I’m afraid a background check of my employment history will reveal the mistake and they might take it for a lie and not hire me.

Will a background check reveal this date or will it just confirm that I did, in fact, work there?

I had two jobs in the past that paid under the table, but I have references from my managers.
I want to apply at a starbucks, jamba juice, or at a retailer (part-time). Will they run a background check on me to see my employment history? Or will they just call my references? or not do either?

The last jobs I had I was under 18. And I was told juvenile records shouldnt show up but that mostly referred to arrest records but didnt mention if juvenile employment history was also kept away.

hi if an employer do a background check for your employment history from one of those agency (don’t know its name) does the reports list if you were fired or quit from a job or just dates and phone numbers of your past employers that they have to call and ask.

Just curious to know about how far back in your employment history they can go. What about if you embellish on your job history, can they find out?

I am not worried about my criminal record, my only concern is if they would contact my past employers. I already got a verbal offer, now all the documents have been transferred to their HR department. I dont know if they would contact my past employers and verify my employment history even I got my verbal offer? Also I didnt provide any references or contact info to them. Only the company name and my position. How high are the chances of calling my past employers?

hi i was wondering when a employer do a background check with your social security number for employment history. does it show if you were fired or quit from the job? or just dates of employment and a phone number to call? i really want to know. thankxxxxxx

I applied for a job with a warehouse company, everything seemed like it was going very well in the interview process. The next day I had found out that failed the background check and was ineligible for hire. I am 18, and have had 4 jobs in my employment history, and I had to fix an error in my traffic record. Im still concerned though about why I had failed my background check, and if anyone could provide me with a list of reasons why I could fail a background check.

Social Insurance Number in Canada is the same as Social Security Number in the US

I have a cousin who worked with a fake social security using his real name…now he has his own real social security number and will go under a background check including employment history for a job…Now that he has his own will any of the jobs he used to work for with the fake social would come up in the new social security number when he goes through the background check?
Would the invetigator doing the background check would find out if he list all his previous employments? What if he doesn’t list his previous jobs would the investagator find out anyways?

because for some odd reason some people quit their job within 6 mths or day or two for no reason and they don’t list them on application, thinking that employer will call them back n get a bad reference.

This company that offered me a job is currently doing a background check on me….I can’t start until it clears. Well, I lied about the length of employment on one of my past jobs, and it seems they are having trouble verifying this job….it was an insurance sales job I got after college; I worked there for about a month till I realized I wasn’t cut out for it….but I stated I was there for a year. My would-be manager called me the other day and asked if I had that insurance company’s address because they are having trouble verifying that I worked there.

So they say that it pays to be honest. Should I call her back and explain to her that the reason they are having trouble verifying that I worked there is because I lied about how long I worked there? And then explain the reason I lied was because I didn’t want there to be a huge gap in my employment history. Do you think they would forgive me and still give me the job for coming out and being honest with them?

I am going to go through a background check including employment history and education…I have worked here in the U.S since i was 17 year 2006 then last year I moved to Mexico and worked there. I came back to the U.S and I applied for bank of america which there going to background check me..however, at mexico i left the job with out a notice because they wouldn’t let me leave for a family emergency and i just left and quit n well I was working in a call center for the U.S embassy..U.S didn’t hired me it was just a calling center to provide information about visas..do you think the Hiring department of Bank of america would call to mexico?

What can be found out about you through a background check? Like employment history..? Will they know if you have gotten fired before..?

Just wondering how employers can check your employment history? Other than them calling the employer of course. Because I lied on my employment before and a background check did not show my previous employers and got hired with no problem. The only other thing i can think of is a credit check? I paid for intellus and it was worthless, it couldn’t find any criminal background and also didn’t have the option to find employment history.

I am trying to find a job, and am worried about explaining gaps in my employment history, as well as being unclear on dates I started/ended jobs in the past. How in depth do the pre-employment background checks and work history checks go?

I worked a few months when I was 19, then I moved in with my fiance, and was basically a "homemaker", as he did not want me to work. I just handle housekeeping, cooking, paying bills, running errands. This was 10 years ago, and in the past 10 years I have been a homemaker. The only job i’ve had is "self employment" (babysitting and cleaning houses). I did take a temp job for a couple months back in 2006. Other than that, and the job I hate in ’99, nothing worth putting on an application. (Had a couple convenience store jobs over the years, but not long lasting, due to only having one car and having conflict with HIS hours.)

We now have a second vehicle, and I am DESPERATE to get a job outside the home! LOL

At least one place I am applying with does at extensive background check, including employment history and credit check.

Can they verify the length of time you were employed with a company, and the EXACT dates? I called the restaurant I worked at back in ’99 to get the exact dates of hire and leaving, but they say they do not keep records past a few years. So, i’m not sure what the date were! Will the companies doing the background checks be able to find the info even so? If I just guess that the dates, will that look horrible?

Also, any advice as to how I should explain the huge employment gaps.

I applied for a job yesterday that required a background check. I was wondering if jobs I had before I turned 18 will come up? I don’t have anything to hide, but I didn’t list one of the jobs I had in high school because the experience I gained there didn’t pertain to the job I was applying for and there were only 4 spaces to list previous work experience so I chose to write down the places that were more like the job I was applying for. I just don’t want the potential new employer to think that I’m hiding something because I didn’t list it… if I had that job when I was 17 (started the job and quit the job when I was 17) will it come up on a background check? I’m 20 years old now, so it’s within 7 years…

Background checks also show previous employment history. Depending on what type of background check is being conducted. I got the impression from the paperwork I filled out that it’d be check both criminal history and my employment history.

I know that employers do Criminal background checks. But what other information to they look up. I know they are able to look up past employment history. Obviously I know who I have been employed with but is there a way to view this "report" to see what information is on it?

I was recently let go from a job that I was only an employed with for a little over a month. The manager loves to fire people (she fired 5 people in the time I was there!) I know for a fact that if contacted, she would absolutely not give me a good recommendation. My question is, do I list the job under my employment history? I am also concerned about lying on my application as well. I feel like either way I’m screwed! Has anyone else been in this situation or have any ideas?

A little more info: I was let go because I refused to sign a write up, which every employee who worked that day received. She then accused me of arguing with her.
Edit: The write up was for all the registers being under or over at the end of the day. The district manager instructed our manager to make sure none of us messed up on the registers again, so our punishment was a write up.

Since a background check asks for the last 7 years of employment history and salary, I was not 100% certain with my exact dates and previous salaries (some included Overtime). With this being said can I be disqualified? Do background check companies call the company itself, my managers, validate just the dates of employment or go fully indepth?

What kind of program or service do they use to search for an applicant’s former employer information? Do they only call the employers listed on your application? There are a couple short-term employers that I’ve had in the past that I don’t ever list because I didn’t leave on good terms (I quit without notice). I checked my credit report and all 3 reports only show the past 7 years. Is that what they use to check?

If they get it from your credit report, how can they be sure that the information is correct? My credit report only lists an address from 6 years ago and an employer from 5 years ago. Most of the background check is to verify employment history, criminal history, etc.

I applied for an internal position at Kelly Healthcare – not a placement postion for a company they represent. They mentioned a background check which they state MAY include criminal, credit, education, prior employment history, driving record, etc..I have no criminal history, an excellent driving record, an excellent work record, average credit but I may have slightly exaggerated my education. Does anyone know how much of a thorough background check the company conducts? I don’t worry about the criminal or DUI check cause I never have. I have a healthy life style (no smoking, no alcohol….)

Or is it just to let you know they will look into your past and does not mean they will not hire you if you are a felon ?

Would majority of companies (labor/warehouse/delivery) be more interested in a persons past employment history than a drug related felony from 7 years ago ?

I need a REAL background check of myself. Not a cheesy online version, but one that includes driving record, employment history, housing history. All of the companies Ive found online to offer the comprehensive check cater only to businesses.

im 30 have bpd, and ptsd, missed out on everrything in life, had an incredablly unfortunate life, live alone on disability in a small apartment in england , unfortunatly i have a long psychiatric history and a criminal record going back 7 years ago..

they dont have the therapy i want in my area, ( individual psychotherapy ) but instead are refering me to a local resource centre where they do activities to help me integrate with people because ive been isolated for so long..

this isnt the situation or the life i wanted to finish up with – its stupid and fckd up !

30 years old — never been employed — no employment history – never got qualifications — never formmed any relationships in life — endured an exceptionall traumatic life — bullying, physical & mental, abuse, assaults head injuries , time in a psychiatric hospital, homelessness for 9 months — have a criminal past — missed out on life big time — suffered non stop for 16years , no respite .

live in one bedroom flat on sickness pay — own no possessions except a computer — never been in a relationship ever– have borderline personality disorder and ptsd — feel lonely, isolated, left behind in life -

waiting for therapy — struggle with rage, paranoia, distrust of others . severe low self esteem — high anxiety and panic.

have physical worries waiting to be investigated — frequent urination, aching groin & boll sack, torn ankle ligaments , need surgery, cant walk on it properley. — have cracked skin on head of penis– waiting to see a dermatologist.

ive aged bad i feel.
and it kills me because iam inwardly vain , im a bald aged old man i feel like.

my ultimate personal goals are : to achieve a good paying job in computers — to move from the uk to portugal, or italy or spain , somewhere near beach and coast — find a loyal partner etc.

Do employer call HR to verify employment history or use the information provided in the application form about the company…for example, will they call name and number provided in company details?

Obviously any criminal convictions will come up, but what else is researched and revealed in a police background search. Do they look into your home life? Employment history? Bank Accounts? What sort of thing gets researched?

The reason for asking this is that I have a friend who is applying for a job, which requires a CRB check and a Police Background Check, and he is worried that this will reveal the big gaping gaps in his employment history, which will surely prevent him from getting the job he is going after. He is desperate for work and wants to know if he should risk falsifying his references and go for the job.

I have told him that this is going to backfire horribly, but he won’t listen. So if anyone could tell me whether employment history gets checked under a background search it would be appreciated, as I am really concerned that he will be found out.

They are using the OPM for the background check? I was required to give employment infomation from 7 yrs back. My employment history is not perfect!
