People Background Search

I just came back from an interview at Weis Markets to work as a Pharmacy Tech – the pharmacist who interveiwed me really liked me (said so), and said that she was very intersted in hiring me pending my background check.
I don’t have any criminal records or driving records, and didn’t list any false infomation on my application…but, I’ve heard that employers sometimes do credit reports.
I had to be taken to the Emergency Room a few months ago, and the total bill was close to 900 dollars (I don’t have insurance, nor do I currently have a job, and the hospital wasn’t willing to work out a payment plan – they immediately sent it to the credit agency after 60 days). It has yet to be paid because I don’t have the money, but I have recieved letters saying that my debt to the hospital could effect my credit score.
Do you think that I might not get this job because of this? It’s not as though it’s thousands of dollars.
Now I’m nervous…I really want this job…

I am looking to do a background check on someone but every web site I go to they want money. I want a FREE one. Please help me. I want to find divorce records and suchs.

I have heard that some web sites charge for background checks, yet do not deliver any more than I could have found out by myself.
Is there one that really does a good job for the money?
I know that one company in particular always recommends itself using a sort of fake "consumers alert website".
Who knows, maybe they are the best, but I’d like to hear it from someone else.

What kind of credit/background check will they do? My criminal record is clean, and so is my drug test. But, like most people…I owe money! Its from years ago, but I’m trying!

Ok so i had a job interview last week and it all went very well. At it’s coclusion the interviewer said they were going to run a criminal background check. I have nothing to hide. Then as I was walking out she said they had other interviews to do.

Now obviously nobody can tell me if i got hired or not, but I’m wondering would a job really spend money to background check someone they weren’t intending on hiring?

I have to get a Live Scan fingerprint background check for employment.

I’m scared I might not pass because at a previous employment for a huge corporation I got caught stealing gift cards from customers. I was only 17 at the time and stupid, they didn’t involve the police or anything but they wrote me up in their files as terminated and I paid back all the money that I took.

Will I pass my background check? This is the only thing I’m worried about.

I am applying for a job in Japan and need a visa. The application form asks, have you ever had a conviction? Well I had a conditional discharge in 1997. I have never done anything since. The catch 22, however, is, should I say no. If I say yes, my chances of the job are gone because Japanese society is very conservative. Its no excuse, i was just a kid, 18-19 at the time and since then have gone to college, worked with money-the conviction was for fraud…please help

I am trying to get parenting time for my sons father taken away from him in case his biological father gets out of prison. The judge wants me to get his criminal records but I can’t find a place where it is free and I don’t have the money to subscribe to one of these sites. Let me give you some information on this jerk. He was arrested for drugs on NUMEROUS occassions, drinking and driving a few times and domestic assult with each of his wives/girlfriends. He is currently serving 19 years in Westville Prison for dealing cocaine/narcotic drugs. I just need proof for the court (it seems like the judge could just get it himself). His mother has mentioned he might be getting out on parole within the next 2 years and I want to keep my son safely away from him as much as possible.
So you know my situation, I have been married to my husband for 9 years, we have 3 other children and we have never been in any trouble.

Back in 1993/94 my husband had a tax lean put on him by unemployment. He owned money back. He paid it off and ended up getting a notarized letter from a court stating it was payed. However, he sees that it shows up in his background check that he paid for online. Is there a way for this to be wiped from the records on his background check? Can this hurt him getting a job?

I’ve been late on two student loan payments that I’m in the process of trying to defer. Not only that I closed a credit card unknowingly that that is considered a "bad thing" on your credit report. Should I be up front and honest about this before they do the background check? theres a girl living with my aunt and she said she has a warrant for her arrest but we dont know what it is. almost every single site i went to, they say there free then they have me sign up n then say they need money! is there any 100% free sites that will tell me the charges?

I know that I can do about anything with a BS in Anthropology to a point. Personally, I have a BS in Anthropology with minors in music, geology, and American Indian Studies where I emphasized archeology and museum work. I am about 10 credits from a history degree too. I have been a stay-at-home-mom for 11 years off and on (off–I worked clerical jobs to make a little money here and there, but I don’t want to do secretary jobs anymore). I want to use my education. I also enjoy working with kids and am a volunteer in Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts. Next year I can work part-time, but the following year I will be looking for full-time work. I am very adaptable. I need to check someone’s criminal, marriage and driver’s license record (to see if their license is valid). I ran across edetective and then looked to find out if there were any negative comments about them or online reviews and can’t find any. I’m currently chasing after a promotion opportunity, and they require a background check once you’re being considered for the position. I’m 21 years old, and haven’t established credit since I’m only using my money for food, gas, and rent. I know the background checks are used to see if you have bad or good credit, especially in positions where you handle a hefty amount of cash during work hours. I have no credit. Will that mess me up? Is no credit better than bad credit?

So here’s the problem: My friend told me that she was pregnant and wanted to get an abortion. She wanted me to cash in a check of 0 and as a friend I did it. I deposited the check into my account and withdrew it the next day. That same day she went and picked up the money. The next day I checked my bank account and I was charged 5 because the check was a fraud. She basically stole the check from her mom and her mom’s bank is investigating it now. Luckily her mother got the money and gave it back to me to pay back my bank since it was really the bank’s money. I just wanted to know what are any consequences I may have to face for all of this. I am not worried about the drug test but in regards to the background, what is it that they are looking for. I have no criminal convictions but as far as credit I have HORRIBLE credit and in fact, I owe Sear money. Will this be looked at in the background check? The position is for a Call Center Job. I need a job, badly. I’ve been applying to jobs everywhere and via craigslist. For the past 10 emails that i’ve gotten a response back to, they always ask for money in some type of way. Or they ask for my social security number for a credit check. This email that I just got says I fit the description and the background check expense is to be covered out of my own pockets and will be "returned" if my background check comes up clean.

With so many companies to choose from I honestly can’t tell which ones are legitimate and which ones just want your money. Hi, I graduated not too long ago majored in Criminal Justice. I am applying to work with a local police department in a clerical/administrative setting, after working at my college’s police dept. I understand that a thorough background investigation will be completed, with polygraph, psych exam, and the like. I am rather intimidated by the process.
Here are my questions:
–If I have made it to a round of cuts, would it be premature to think that I might be hired? if so, since I am currently unemployed, should I go about looking for other jobs? I do need the money.
–How long do you think the background check will take? As long as for an officer?
–If I have tried drugs before, not used regularly, how do I answer and explain that with the polygraph? (Just marijuana and X twice, over five years ago–unsucessfully too, I didn’t know what I was doing). Do you think I will be held to the same stringent qualifications as a regular LE officer?

If a person was convicted of a felony 14 years ago, what should they do when applying for a job when asked about their criminal past? I know there are different types of background checks that companies do. For instance…A larger, national company will have the money to spend on a thourough National background check, but these types of checks are usually expensive and time consuming. On the other hand a smaller, local company may only invest in a statewide, 7 or 10 year background check as these are usually cheaper and the results are faster. How does a person with a non-violent felony coviction from 14-15 years ago deal with something like this when applying for a job that they are otherwise qualified for? I am looking into applying for a small, local trucking company, but I dont want to reveal my background if it is not neccessary as I believe they will likely only do a statewide 10 yr. background check. I was a resident of Louisiana at the time of the citation. The ticket was issued by a city policemen, I didn’t have a court date, I sent in the money for the fine, and had to give up my drivers licsense for 90 days in La. and then carry SR-22 insurance for a couple of years. I’m currently a resident of TX, my drivers record here is clean.
