I applied for a job and was hired on and told them in the interview that I have my diploma when in reality I have my G.E.D. I also informed them that I was giving my current job notice but actually quit with no notice. My credit is good and driving record is good. Do you think they will take their job offer back because I wasn’t completely honest about these things?

You are playing a dangerous game here!
I know that when I check references, I check on job performance with previous employers, and so I would be talking to the employer you left in the lurch. And after talking to them – I’d probably withdraw the offer to you – if you’ve f*cked them over, chances are you’ll do it to me too.
Personally, I don’t check qualifications, but I know many employers who do. If at any point in future (even if it’s after work drinks with colleagues, you hint that you lied about this stuff, you can be fired).
My advice is keep your fingers crossed, and hope you’re not caught out. If you get away with it, grow up, treat your employers the way you’d like to be treated, and stop lying.
You won’t get away with this forever. And there’s plenty of honest hardworking people who’d like your job.

You have made a grave mistake. All companies will fire you for lying on your application. You can smooth over the GED thing by saying you consider that your diploma and that should cover you, but the quit with no notice thing may get you. If it is a national company you may be covered if the person who gets the reference call does the right thing and does not tell on you, but if you get someone who is angry at your leaving with no notice they can still say something like "I wish I could tell you the real truth about the situation to help you avoid some serious errors".
If it was a company that is small or owned by an individual then they will probably take the opportunity to vent about your leaving.
Next time tell the truth, say yes, I have my GED and then say something like "I left with no notice due to the following circumstances…and list some good reason. Now, never never do that again!
